  • Earlier this afternoon I was napping in my bedroom with my window fully open. I was awakened by the sound of a hummingbird. I looked up and saw that the cute little bird was inside my room! It flew around for a little bit and then flew back out the window. Way cool!
  • Bill is upset at the post office because a package he had mailed to me didn't arrive yesterday. He said that next time he will use the Royal Mail. lol. There are treats for me and treats for the dog inside the box. I can't wait to get it! Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow.
  • Had lunch with my mom and her bf today at Il Fornaio. It was very good. I had beef tenderloin, served rare with a green peppercorn and balsamic reduction sauce. Before that I had crab cakes with lobster sauce as an appetizer. For dessert I had a vanilla custard topped with a mousse-y chocolate layer. *burp*
  • After lunch we went to a bed store to take a look at Tempur-Pedic mattresses. I'm trying to decide if I want a queen or a king. I'm leaning towards a king, but that would mean I have to buy all new beddings. My cheapskate-ness is awakening!
  • My cousin called me earlier, and we formally agreed that she will forever remain 24 years old. Which just means that I will forever remain 23, as she's one year older. Works for me!
  • My landlord refused to help me pay for the horrendous electric bills I incurred over the past 3 months due to a malfunctioning water heater. He says it's because it's my responsibility to report problems promptly. I'm mildly pissed. After all, how the fuck was I supposed to know for sure that the heater was the culprit? I'm just mildly pissed, because after all he did give me a $1,325-a-month discount on rent for a full three months. lol
  • Iceland has decided to resume commercial whaling. They say they will kill up to nine fin whales (which are endangered) each year. I'm disappointed. I wrote their tourist board a professional but strongly worded letter telling them what I thought.
  • As I write this entry, my running shoes are in the oven, drying out at 170 degrees Fahrenheit. I cleaned them in the washing machine, but I didn't want to put them in the dryer because of the racket they'd make. So into the oven they went.
  • My new iPod is still in transit. My brother had it shipped to his house. He handed it to my aunt. Now my aunt is supposed to hand it to my mother, who will then give it to me. Argh! It's taking forever! I can't wait... it's one of those new video iPods, in black. Wheeee.
  • I ate so much chocolate this evening that now I don't feel so good. The caribe squares taste more coffee-like when compared to the guanaja squares, which taste more... uh... I dunno... herb-y? Fruity? Something. Not coffee.
  • My ex keeps texting me to remind me that I am now even closer to hitting the big 4-0. Bastard. lol
  • Bill, on the other hand, sent me a text message saying that I am 40. Another bastard.
  • The Mexican cowboy-in-all-white-clothes-and-hat was rollerskating outside my complex again today. It was cool. Hadn't seen him in quite a while. I still have no idea what he's all about. One day I'll just make myself come up to him and ask him. Haha. Yeah, right.
  • Grandma just called me. She's giving me a hard time because I almost never go to her house to visit. I only go when there's a family get-together.
  • Ok, enough blogging this evening. I'm gonna take my shoes out of the oven, take my clothes out of the dryer, email my dad, then see about getting to bed early.
