So earlier this evening I was talking to a friend of mine, with whom I used to work, about the possibility of me going to work for him. He is the head of network engineering at this mega-corporation.
He was describing the work, what's required, his management style, etc. And he mentioned that one of the downsides is that for the next few months, I may be required to travel back east, to the company's hometown, a little bit often. I wasn't exactly thrilled about that idea.
"Well, at least I get to rack up frequent flyer miles," I said.
"Uhm, not really," he said.
"Huh? Why not?"
"Because more often than not you'll fly there and back on the corporate jet."
