My friend Liberty sent me this video on YouTube. It's the theme song of Voltes V, my absolute favorite of all Japanese robot cartoons that aired in my youth. I was in early grade school back then.

Brings back memories.

I still know the (supposed) English translation by heart. And apparently this "translation" is completely different from the original...

Now that I look at these lyrics again, it becomes painfully obvious that the person who wrote this English "translation" was not a native English speaker. In fact, I would be willing to bet a dollar that the person was Filipino...
