The new show that we saw on Wednesday is called Corteo. The whole show represents a man's dream or fantasy about his own funeral cortege. It's filled with angels, circus acts, pretty girls, hunky men, midgets, and giants. The different acts included the usual Cirque mainstays: amazing gymnastics by both men and women, funny slapstics by clowns, and aerobatics by beautiful girls. In addition, they had an awesome juggling act, a tightrope walker, men and women rolling around in giant steel rings (it's more amazing than it sounds, promise), and many others.
Corteo doesn't have as much of a dream-like, uber-fantasy feel of the other Cirque shows I've seen. Still, it is unmistakeably a Cirque show, and it was very, very good.
