blogosphere guilty pleasures

Everybody has one. If they say they don't, they're lying. I am talking about blogosphere guilty pleasures. Blogs that you can't get enough of, but don't want to admit you read on a regular basis.

Mine is: Bryanboy: Le Superstar Fabuleux

What's it about? Well... Bryanboy's a young (early 20s) gay (he says he's bi but all he ever talks about is men) man in the Philippines who writes completely inane stuff about his daily comings and goings. He's got money. He's a snob. He's got body image issues. He's a total brand whore (as in the brands of LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton and Pinault Printemps Redoute, not Warnaco and The Gap) and a huge show-off.

And I find him incredibly funny. Well, his blog, anyway.

He writes about his multi-thousand-DOLLAR (yes, American) shopping sprees, his sessions with cosmetic surgeons and aestheticians, travels, night life, and encounters with people in the crowded city of Manila. All of this he writes about with unabashed elitism, nonstop vulgarity, and refreshing frankness.

He's stereotypical noveau riche: moneyed, snobby, vulgar. But the thing is, he is the first one to admit it! In fact, the subtitle of his blog says it all:

Adventures of the new-moneyed classess bitch from hell. Vulgarity is the new discreet. Trash is the new exclusivity. Third world has never been this *burp* chic. You just have to scroll down as in down! "

Anyway, I think his blog is hilarious. Great entertainment especially during dull dull dull hours at work.
